Day 1 Dar Es Salaam – Mbudya Island – Dar Es Salaam

Escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Dar es Salaam. A 20-minute motorboat ride from the mainland will take you to the idyllic island paradise of Mbudya Island in the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve. Soak up the rays on the island's white-sand beaches, enjoy snorkeling adventures, and head out for a swim in the turquoise waters. Bandas (thatched huts) are available for rent on the beach, and you can savor fresh barbecued seafood and sip on cold drinks while you unwind. It's no wonder Mbudya is one of the most popular day trips from the city. Due to its isolation and calm, the beach is a must-visit location for travelers who want to rest and relax away from the throngs and the stresses of daily life. Visitors can take in the breathtaking view of the pristine ocean, rich flora, bright blue sky, and sandy beach. The island offers fabulous snorkeling and diving opportunities. • Taxes, park fees, concession fees, VAT exemptions, and other taxes are based in Oﬃcial Government legislation at booking time. Should any of these be changed by the Government of Tanzania, Go Extra Mile Safaris of Tanzania reserves the right to amend the rates accordingly.
• If accommodation is full at the time of the booking, comparable alternatives will be suggested (according to availability)
• Transport on safari is provided in 4-wheel-drive vehicles. City and other similar transfers may be provided in minivans. The company reserves the right to employ the services of subcontractors where necessary.
Booking Terms & Conditions:
• To confirm our clients' reservation, Go Extra Mile Safaris requires a 25% deposit payment at the time of making your booking. Failure to do so will result in your reservation automatically being canceled.
• The balance of payment is due 8 weeks (60 days) before the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) before departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.
• Please note that should you have been quoted in foreign currency and wish to settle payment using a credit card, your quotation will be converted to Tanzanian Shillings before the transaction is processed due to foreign exchange regulations by the Bank of Tanzania. The rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Shilling amount, with any resulting foreign exchange differences or bank charges being for the client's account. The Bank of Tanzania prohibits Tanzanian companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to Tanzanian shillings before it is credited to the recipient. Clients are welcome to settle payment employing a bank transfer - in this instance, the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice.
• It is the client's responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the Go Extra Mile Safaris bank account and that ALL bank charges are to be borne by the client's account.

Standard Cancellation Policy:
• Penalty of 10% if you cancel more than 60 days before your tour
• 20% penalty if you cancel between 30 and 60 days earlier
• a penalty of 50% if you cancel with 15 to 30 days' notice
• a 75% penalty if you cancel with 7 to 14 days' notice,
• a penalty of 100% if you cancel with less than a week's notice
• Oﬃcial Govt Fees paid remain Non-refundable
