Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati To Shillong

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet your representative. Drive towards Shillong through the scenic Khasi Hills with a stop at Umiam Lake for photographs and a relaxed viewpoint break. Continue to Shillong, complete hotel check in and enjoy leisure time. Spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar or the local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 Shillong Local Sightseeing

Elephant FallsShillong PeakDon Bosco Museum

After breakfast, explore Shillongs key attractions including Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Wards Lake and Don Bosco Museum. Depending on time, visit Lady Hydari Park and Shillong Golf Course viewpoints. The evening is free for cafes, shopping and local exploration. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3 Shillong To Cherrapunji (sohra)

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunji also known as Sohra. En route enjoy the Mawkdok Dympep Valley viewpoint followed by visits to Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Continue to Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park subject to weather and local operating conditions. Check in at your Cherrapunji stay and overnight in Cherrapunji.

Day 4 Cherrapunji To Nongriat (trek) Or Cherrapunji Local

Early breakfast followed by two options. Adventure option proceeds towards Tyrna for the trek to Nongriat and the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge involving a long descent and ascent via numerous steps and requiring good fitness. Relaxed option includes visits to Arwah Cave, Thangkharang Park and nearby viewpoints instead. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 5 Cherrapunji To Mawlynnong To Dawki To Shillong

After breakfast proceed towards Mawlynnong for a village walk and a visit to the Riwai Living Root Bridge. Continue to Dawki for a boat ride on the Umngot River which is famous for remarkably clear water in the drier months. Visit the Dawki border viewpoint if time permits and then drive back to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 6 Shillong To Guwahati
