Meghalaya Tour 5 Nights - 6 Days

This morning we will start our journey from Guwahati station/ Airport., on the way to Shillong, pitstop at Umiam lake (commonly known as "Barapani lake"), which is located just 15 km before the capital city of Meghalaya. This 220 sq km lake is a treat to your eyes with its crystal clear water and scenic vegetation around it. Further, continue drive to Shillong, upon arrival check in at the hotel at Shillong. Can explore the local market by the evening, over night at the hotel

Today morning have an early breakfast and leave for Cherrapunji (around 65 kms from Shillong). Cherrapunji also known as Sohora, it is the wettest place on earth, on the way to Sohora you will come across roaring water falls and unfathomable gorges.
check in to the hotel upon arrival. After fresh n-up visit the famous Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai fall, Mawsmai Cave. Later evening return to hotel for overnight stay.

Have an early breakfast and start your day with energy as today we are going for the trek at the Double decker living root bridge, Set in the dense forests of East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, this iconic bridge is made of 2 tree root entanglements. You will get amazed of walking over the roots which is quite scary at the start but once you start you will end it with great zeal. Here you will feel the warmth of Mother Nature being somewhere near to Nature Gods Home.

Today is the day we visit the most cleanest village in India (Mawlynnong). it is around 80 kms from cherrapunji, near the village there are interesting sights like the living roots bridge and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock. Later in the afternoon we will drive to Shillong. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong

After breakfast enjoy local sightseeing tour of Shillong, ‘Scotland of the East’. We will be visiting Cathedral Church, Lady Hydari Park, the Orchidarium, Elephant Falls and the Golf course. Thereafter, we will drive to the Shillong peak to enjoy a splendid view of Shillong. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong

Activities : Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati. (If time allow we will enjoy a short tour of Guwahati visiting Kamakhya Devi temple and other places of worth). Further transfer to the airport / railway station for onward connection.
