Meghalaya - Kaziranga - Tawang Tour 11 Days - 10 Nights

This morning we will start our journey from Guwahati station/ Airport., on the way to Shillong, pitstop at Umiam lake (commonly known as "Barapani lake"), which is located just 15 km before the capital city of Meghalaya. This 220 sq km lake is a treat to your eyes with its crystal clear water and scenic vegetation around it. Further, continue drive to Shillong, upon arrival check in at the hotel at Shillong Can explore the local market by the evening, over night at the hotel

Today morning have an early breakfast and leave for Cherrapunji (around 65 kms from Shillong). Cherrapunji also known as Sohora, it is the wettest place on earth, on the way to Sohora you will come across roaring water falls and unfathomable gorges.
check in to the hotel upon arrival. After fresh n-up visit the famous Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai fall, Mawsmai Cave. Later evening return to hotel for overnight stay.

Today is the day we visit the most cleanest village in India (Mawlynnong). it is around 80 kms from cherrapunji, near the village there are interesting sights like the living roots bridge and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock. Later in the afternoon we will drive to Shillong. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong

Today we travel to Laitlum Canyons which is located about 24kms from Shillong literally translates to the ‘End of the Hills.’ Blanketed in velvety white clouds and rolling hills and deep gorges. This majestic panoramic landscape is one of the best points for stunning sunsets! . Back to Shillong and overnight at the hotel

This morning we will start our journey to Kaziranga National Park. On the way to Kaziranga National Park enjoy the scenic view of Assam countryside, paddy fields, and perfectly manicured tea gardens as you drive through the plains of Assam dotted by random, small towns all along to the destination. Reach there, check into the hotel, Explore the nearby places in the evening and enjoy the light and sound show if you wish, have dinner and overnight at the hotel

Today Wake up a bit early, have breakfast and head out for the elephant safari point . This safari will take you to place where you will be able to sight One horned Indian Rhinos, water buffalos, migratory birds and many more wild life up close from the elephant's back "if lucky".
once back take a quick rest, get stuffed with some delicious food and head out again for a jeep safari , this will be interesting as a jeep safari will take you deeper into the jungle as compared to the elephant safari, you will be able to encounter more wild life , the more deeper you are in the jungle the more wildlife sighting you will do. Get everything wrapped up as soon as possible and head for next destination Bomdila same day.

Start today's journey for Tawang today and en-route we pay our respect to the fallen soldiers at Nyukmadung war memorial. Next stop will be at the mighty Se-la (high-altitude pass) and experience the gorgeous views of the surroundings, it itself makes up for the day, ending up wanting it endlessly.
At Se-la, we visit the Tawang war-memorial. Then, we fancy some hot tea at the army canteen before resuming our journey from Se la to Tawang. But, not before stopping for a small stroll by the lovely Sela lake (remains frozen in winters and much after that).
Next, we stop at the Nuranang waterfall or the Jang falls, as it is also known. The sheer grandness of the waterfall is jaw droping. By evening, we reach our destination, Tawang where more fun awaits. Overnight at the hotel.

Today start your day lazy. There are few places to visit in Tawang and today is the day to explore them. We begin our tour at the Tawang monastery. We explore the place at our own pace. Stop and talk to the monks staying there, take in the views of the town from the monastery, and much more. Then, from there, we head to the Urgeling monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama and the Ani Gompa (time permitting). In the evening, we visit the Tawang War Memorial and experience the light and sound show there.

Today is going to be a long day over bumpy roads for the most part of it. On the bright side, today is also going to be one of the most exciting days of your Tawang trip. We start early today to explore the beautiful lakes and valleys at the higher reaches of the region. On our way to our first stop, the Pankang Teng Tso, we drive through what was once a battlefield. The scars of the war can still be seen all around. We then proceed to the India – China border at Bum La, which is at an altitude of about 5000 mts above MSL! . We visit the Sungester Lake, also known as the Madhuri lake of Koyla (the Bollywood movie) fame, and spend some time there, impressed by the sheer size of the towering mountains surrounding the place. , head back to Tawang. Overnight at the hotel

Have breakfast and start our return journey back to the plains of Assam. We retrace back the route to Tawang. Enjoy the scenery outside and take multiple photo stops as you please. By evening, reach your accommodation at Dirang. overnight at the hotel.

Wake-up early today so that we can explore Dirang (one of the most beautiful land scape), After having some hearty food, we start our return journey, back to Guwahati which marks the end of this wonderful trip
