Go on a one day walking tour at the Oldonyo Sapuk Village. This village lies 2,000 m above sea level and is located on the foothills of Mount Meru, some 7 km from Arusha town. This tour, which takes approximately 7 hours, starts from Arusha town and takes you through local villages where the residents grow crops such as coffee, banana, maize and vegetables. The village is inhabited by Waarusha people, who are related to Maasai. There are excellent viewpoints in the area with stunning views. Steep slopes take you to a beautiful waterfall in the Reserve Forest of Mount Meru where you can also have a swim and return to Arusha in the afternoon.
