NJP To Darjeeling 3Night - 4Days

Pickup from bagdogra airport / NJP railway station to be taken to Darjeeling (7100ft ) a 88kms drive taking around 3.5 hrs to reach Darjeeling the Queen of hill stations ,Its name derived from” Darjeeling “ .Which means the place of “Dorje”the mystic thunderboit . After a very scenic drive thru the mounting ,tea garden , etc .

Reach Darjeeling and check in at hotel .

Start the day at 4.00 am with an early morning trip to Tiger hill (7800 ft )to catch the sunrise from behind the majestic Kunchenjunga range . On the way return back Ghooms Monastery and Batasia Loop ,back to the hotel for breackfast .

(9.00 am to 3.00 pm ) After breackfast proceed for a half day , Darjeeling local sightseeing of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute , Ropeway , Zoo , Tenzing Rack , Tibetan Refugees self helf centre , Tea garden ,and Japanese Temple .

Back to the Hotel by evening ; take a walk to” Chowrasta “ the centre point of the Mall area . You can do some window shopping and over night stay at Darjeeling .

After breackfast depart to kalimpong (4000 ft ) a drive of 50 kms taking around 2.5 hrs to reach kalimpong . Also called the garden of flowers , this town has almost everything – scenic beauty , flowers , greenery , waters , mists , clouds ,etc .

After lunch proceed for a half day sight seeing of Durping Hill ,Which has the famous Zong Dong Palri ,Fo – Brang Monastery ,which belongs to the same Buddhist sect as the present Dalai Lama , Pine view point , Dr , Grahams Homes Complex with its histiric church , Scottish missionary ,Delo hill , appears to the roof of the world , is the highest point in Kalimpong .

Then on the Mangal Dham Temple constracted in memory of the Guru Shree Mangal Dasji and dedicated to Lord Krishna . Evening free at Leisure with a visit to the market , where you do some curio shopping ,buy some kalipong cheese and Lollipops of swise technology from “Larks” or just take a walk thru the market and over night stay at kalimpong .

After breackfast , check out from the hotel and proceed to NJP rail way station / Bagdogra airport for onwords destination .
