Set at an elevation of 3780 m, this glacial lake is considered holy by Sikkimese people. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the lake. The place is a paradise for bird watchers as get to spot a number. Located at a distance of around 16 km from Tsomgo Lake is Baba Mandir. After taking breakfast at the hotel proceed for an excursion to Yumthang valley – the ultimate valley of flowers in North Sikkim (Alt 11,800 ft). On the way back to hotel do not forget to visit hot spring – the crystal water in it said to have some medicinal trait. Optional tour to Yumesamdong Valley or Zero Point close to Tibet Border (Alt 15,000 ft, 23 Kms from Yumthang) for Indian tourists only can be arranged (at extra cost and prior notice). Drive early to Thangu and have your breakfast at local joint. Continue to drive to Gurudongmar via Chopta Valley. And have scenic view of this place which is very much Gorgeous in a natural view.
