Palaepaphos Experience Package

The village of Kouklia, just a short drive from Paphos and the base for this excursion, is built in the area of Palaepaphos or “Old Paphos”. The area is closely interwoven with the legends and myths of the Greek goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite. The myth is interwoven with Aphrodite at every level, such that Old Paphos became the centre for her worship in the ancient world, not only in Cyprus but throughout the eastern Mediterranean.

With this guided tour you will explore the ancient Sugar Mill located outside the village, the Oil Press, the St. Constantinos and St. Helen chapel and visit the Temple of Aphrodite and the Palaepaphos Museum! The tour will end at a traditional Cypriot tavern with lunch included! Please note that the tour starts and ends at Gabriel’s Tavern in the village square.
