This is an off-road adventure NOT a Cultural tour Portugal has some of the best off-roading Europe has to offer. Short of going to Morocco, it has some of the best land access and freedom of movement available in western Europe. The sparsely populated county is very rugged and mountainous. A world away from the popular coastal tourist traps. The Portuguese themselves love motor sport and are some of the most ardent rally fans. They are very welcoming to 4x4s. All this makes Portugal a fantastic 4x4 destination for the interpreted overland traveler Camping (or Hotels options) e intention of the trip is to run it with the spirit of an Overland Adventure Expedition. This means we expect to work together as a team and you will need to be an active participant in the adventure. The route and agenda are flexible depending on you and your fellow travelers abilities, vehicles and preferences, as is accommodation choices.
Team work will allow us to take on more challenging and adventurous routes that would otherwise not be possible as individuals. You may be asked to carry additional pieces of recovery equipment.
This trip is intended as an offroad 4x4 adventure not a cultural tour. It will not specifically include any site seeing trips, although time aside may allow for this. (You will however see and experience many interesting places). We will be looking to seek out challenging terrain that will test your driving skills and use the full capabilities of your 4x4 vehicles.
As this will be our first run though with customers all of the above is even more essential.UK - Europe Ferry (Allows flexibility on routes and travel times).
