Powered Paragliding - An Exciting Activity in Bled Surroundings, Slovenia Package

See Slovenia from a different point of view! Steep slopes, pointy peaks, valleys, gorges, diverse flora and fauna, forests and countryside are the words that truly describe the views that will be explored by you. Your paragliding instructor flies you over Bled Lake, its beautiful island and castle. The activity continues along the Sava River and finishes after 30 minutes. A one of a kind experience that you will take home with you.

The powered paragliding adventure with our highly experienced tandem pilots starts in the Upper Carniola region, in the surroundings of Bled. The starting point of the adrenaline panoramic flight is a green meadow right next to the village of Vrba, one of the ten villages of Žirovnica municipality. The village is known for the famous Slovenian poet France Prešeren, the author of our anthem. He was born in this peaceful village, with the population of about 196 inhabitants at that time.

You will be able to see beautiful sights and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps (Triglav, 2,864 m) and the Karavanke Mountains (Stol, 2,236 m) from the air. The mountainous part of Slovenia is well known for its traditional activities in the past, famous for this area: pasturing and ironwork. Your flight continues above glacial Bled Castle, Bled Lake and Bled Island. An interesting fact is that Lake Bled has an irregular shape because of the island that is above the lake’s water level. The lake can be divided into two basins: the bigger and the smaller one on the other side of the island.

The tandem pilot will also take you downstream of the longest Slovenian river, the Sava, where you will be able to observe lively stream of the river. After you reach the confluence of the two sources of the Sava River, the Sava Dolinka River and the Sava Bohinjka River, the path will continue to small artificial Šobec Lake. Then you will head back to the starting point, where you will also land.
