This 6 day itinerary combines a Serengeti safari during the calving season with a short Zanzibar cultural and spice experience. Guests arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha, then travel by road into Serengeti National Park for game drives and wildlife viewing including the calving season where hundreds of wildebeest are born daily. After full day activities in the Serengeti, the trip returns to Arusha for a flight to Zanzibar where guests explore Stone Town and a spice farm before departure. Accommodations, transfers, national park fees, selected meals and domestic flight from Arusha to Zanzibar are included.
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport followed by transfer to your hotel in Arusha. This is an arrival day with ground transfer to Mount Meru Hotel where guests will overnight and prepare for the safari departure the next day.
Depart Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park. The road transfer includes en-route game drive opportunities as you make your way into the park. Tonight guests stay at Kumbu Kumbu Luxury Camp or Suenos De Africa.
Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park during the calving season. Expect extensive wildlife viewing including witnessing the mass wildebeest calving phenomenon with hundreds of young born each day. Return to camp for overnight at Kumbu Kumbu Luxury Camp or Suenos De Africa.
Drive from the Serengeti back towards Arusha Airport then take a scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar transfer to Tembo House Hotel for overnight. This day combines road transfer and domestic flight travel.
Explore Stone Town with a guided tour of the oldest city places in Zanzibar followed by a visit to a spice farm to experience local spices and plantations. Return to Tembo House Hotel for overnight.
Transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar International Airport for your outbound flight home. This is the departure day concluding the package.
