Package Overview

Most of the Satpura range was heavily forested, but the area has been subject to gradual deforestation in recent decades, although significant stands of forests remain. These forest enclaves provide habitat to several at risk and endangered species, including the tiger. Satpura National Park is of one the areas of this landscape preserved marvellously for protection of flora and fauna.

Satpura National Park is spread over 1427 sq km and was formed in 1981 after joining Satpura, Pachmari and Bori sanctuaries and the altitude ranges from 300 to 1,352 metres (980 to 4,436 ft). The terrain of the national park is extremely rugged and consists of fascinating deep valleys, sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, rivulets, waterfalls, thick dense green forest of Sal and other medicinal herbs. It also has large tracts of Teak forests.

Departure to Pipriya. Overnight train travel.
Day 2

Reach Satpura

Reach Satpura, Check-in to the wildlife lodge and rest till breakfast. Walk to explore the wildlife. Overnight stay at Satpura.
Day 3

Safaris at Satpura

Explore different parts of Satpura on morning and evening jeep safaris. Our wildlife expert will share his experiences and discuss about nature and wildlife. Overnight stay at Satpura.
Day 4

Explore More

Two more safaris are scheduled today. Sharing experiences with each other. Overnight stay at Satpura.
Day 5

Satpura At Peak

Two more jeep safaris at Satpura, to maximise the chances of tracking The Big Cat as well! Depart to Pune.
Day 6

Return Home

Return home with happy memories. Today bid farewell to your tour as you are transferred to airport / railway station for your onward journey.
