Depart after breakfast from Arusha or Moshi and travel toward Tarangire National Park. After entering the park enjoy an afternoon game drive through a landscape known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and seasonal wildlife concentrations. Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, lions and a wide variety of birdlife. As the day ends proceed to your lodge or camp in the Tarangire area for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin the day with a morning game drive in Tarangire when wildlife is often active and the light is ideal for photography. Continue the journey toward Karatu, passing through changing landscapes and enjoying views of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival check in at your lodge, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The afternoon can be used to rest, refresh and prepare for the following days Ngorongoro Crater excursion.

After an early breakfast descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an extended game drive. The crater floor holds a remarkable concentration of wildlife and offers opportunities to see buffalo, lions, hyenas, zebra, wildebeest, flamingos and with some luck the endangered black rhino. Enjoy the dramatic scenery of the crater walls, grasslands, lakes and woodland areas. Later ascend from the crater and return to accommodation near Karatu or to the crater rim for overnight.

After breakfast depart for the world famous Serengeti National Park. The journey through the park becomes a wildlife experience as you travel and stop for game viewing along the way. Watch for herds of wildebeest and zebra, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, big cats and other wildlife. Continue toward the Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti, an important habitat for lions, leopards, cheetahs and other predators, and enjoy an afternoon game drive before reaching your lodge or camp.

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives, or opt for a full day outing with a packed lunch. The professional guide will select the best areas according to the season, recent sightings, weather and animal movement. Explore open plains, kopjes, riverbeds and woodland habitats while searching for the Big Five and other iconic species. This is the main wildlife focused day of the safari offering excellent opportunities for photography, observation and memorable encounters.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive when the Serengeti is often peaceful and wildlife activity may be high. Return to the lodge or camp for breakfast, check out and begin your transfer toward Arusha, an airstrip or the airport depending on your onward travel arrangements. The safari ends after the transfer, leaving you with memories of Tanzanias landscapes and wildlife. Overnight accommodation is not included as the safari ends.
