The distance to the river front through the town of Jorhat will take approx. 120kms/3hrs before we board a ferry to the island in the midst of the mighty Brahmaputra river. The cruise by ferry to the island will take approx. 2hrs. Reach in the afternoon and check in at the Prashanti tourist lodge (basic). Later visit the Monastery and interact with the inmates to know their culture and lifestyle. Visit the museum. Stay overnight.
