Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Coorg

  Arrive Coorg from Bangalore, Mysore, Kerala and transfer to your hotel / resort. Afternoon at leisure to explore this erstwhile summer capital of the British. Overnight stay at your hotel / resort.

  • Hotspots : Mysore

• Day 2 : Coorg

  Breakfast at your hotel. Later proceed to the tourist spots like Talacauvery – place of the origin of river Cauvery and Bhagamandala - an area situated on the river Kaveri in its upstream stretches. At this place, the Kaveri is joined by two tributaries, the Kannike and the mythical Sujyoti river – a dip in this considered to be very holy. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 3 : Coorg

  After breakfast at hotel proceed to the tourist spots like Dubare Elephant Camp - is a project undertaken by forest department and Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd. This camp has plenty of elephants which are trained under naturalists. A trained Naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. The visitor can not only observe and learn but also participate in various activities involving Elephants. Omakareshwara Temple - The temple in Madikeri was built by Lingarajendra II in 1820 in the Mumammadan style of architecture with a dome in the center and four turrets at four corners. Temple dedicated to Shiva, was built in the 19th century in a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles. Legend has it that the King put to death a Brahmin to fulfill his political ambitions and in order to appease the spirit of the Brahmin.
  Afternoon visit some more tourist spots like, Abbey Waterfalls The waterfall is located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates with trees entwined with pepper vines. A hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls. There is a Kali Mata temple on one side of the bridge; Nisargadhama - is an island formed by river Kaveri near Kushalnagar in the district of Kodagu, It is a holiday destination in a 64-acre island with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees. The island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge. There are deer, rabbits, peacocks, and a children's playground as well as an orchidarium. Tibetan monastery - After the Chinese took over Tibet, the refugees were settled at Bylkuppe near Kushalnagar and the Buddhist Monastery was re-established here in 1972. It houses over 7,000 monks and students today. The monastery not only attracts large number of young Tibetans seeking enlightenment and education, but also draws huge tourists from all over India and abroad. and Raja’s Seat - One of the most enchanting places in Madikeri is the Rajas Seat which literally means seat of the Kings, it is a Feast for your eyes on an endless expense of sun kissed greenery with views of the sunrise and sunset.
  Head back to the hotel and overnight stay.

  • Hotspots : Abbey Waterfalls, Madikeri

• Day 4 : Coorg - Mysore

  Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Later transfer to at Madikeri Bus Stand or Mysore railway station.
