Separated from fertile Lahaul by the soaring 4551m Kunzum La, the trans Himalayan region of Spiti is another chunk of Tibet marooned in India. The scattered villages in this serrated moonscape arrive like mirages, clusters of white washed mud-brick homes huddled amid green barley fields below monasteries perched on crags a thousand feet above. The turquoise-grey ribbon of the Spiti River is your near-constant companion, running along a fairly broad valley before turning south at Sumdo into the precipitous gorges of the Hangrang Valley. Spiti attracts many travelers, including streams of Indian motorcyclists, as a kind of mini-Ladakh without tourist crowds, which is fair enough, since its pristine nature ( high-altitude desert )and culture (Tibetan Buddhist)are still in tact. The approaches to Spiti remain among the most rugged and scenically spectacular roads in In
dia, and the Spiti-Kinnaur loop is one of Asia's great road trips.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Delhi to Chandigarh/Shimla ( Via Volvo) - Narkanda | Day Journey

Reach Delhi from where you will be boarding an AC Volvo bus to Chandigarh/ shimla.
Pickup by Cab from Chandigarh/ Shimla to Narkanda
Overnight at Narkanda

Day 2

Narkanda – Chitkul (Kinnaur Valley)

Leave early, if from Narkanda and enjoy the vistas en route
For lunch at Rampur
About 8 – 9 Hrs of beautiful drive through Kinnaur Valley
Overnight at Chitkul

Day 3

Chitkul to Tabo via Gue Village (150 km, 8 hrs)

After having a nutritious breakfast Start the serene and hypnotic taxi tour by first vis iting Kamru Fort near Sangla.
Today will be an archetypal day, as you would be going to the ancient town of Spiti that has the oldest monastery in Himachal.
On the journey, halts would be given at Nako, Gue, Pooh, and Sumdo villages for tour ism, relaxation and food.
The most stimulating visit will be at the Gue Village where a 500 year old monk's mum my has been preserved in a monastery.
Rest at night after reaching your stay at the Tabo village.

Day 4

Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar Monastery (50 km, 2 hrs)

It will be a divine day of the EverGreenTours package since you will be paying reverence at the Himachal's oldest monastery in Tabo before heading further
The way to Kaza is very long, but we will be giving you a pause at Dhankar Village.
There, take the advantage of the break and visit Dhankar Monastery and Lake.
Reach Kaza after a short ride and take a rest in the night.

Day 5

Kaza Sightseeing

It would be a stirring day of the tour.
You would be exploring the following places today - Key Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge, Komic village, Hikkim and Langza village.
This many places in a day would definitely make you tired.
So, come back to the hotel in Kaza in the evening for a relaxing night's stay. ∙ Overnight stay at Chicham Village.

Day 6

Kaza - Kalpa(210 km, 7 hrs)

After breakfast Time to leave Spiti and enter Kinour valley today.
End the day by having a sumptuous dinner at a cafe on Mall road.

Day 7

Kalpa - Shimla

Long journey ahead!
To reach Shimla, it will take minimum of 7 hrs.
Major breaks would be provided at Rampur .
Apart from the above, as per requirement, more breaks would be provided.

Day 8

Shimla– Delhi

After breakfast, start the return journey.
We'll be reaching Chandigarh by afternoon.
After reaching Chandigarh, will be boarding an overnight bus for Delhi in the evening.
