Today you will drive to Pahalgam(approx.3and a half hr’s).Pahalgam(village of shepherds)is located around 100kms from your house boat in south east.Enroute to Pahalgam you will visit the famous Awantiwarman temple ruins dating back to over 1200years,and a sufi shrine at Ashmuqam.on arrival at Pahalgam you will be fascilitated by our representative at hotel to facilitate check-in.

After morning breakfast proceed to excursion of Chandanwari & Betab valley.Chandanwari(2,895m),16km from Pahalgam,is the starting point of the Amarnath yatra that takes place every year in the month of sawan(july to august).The road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is on fairly flat terrain and can be undertaken by car.Betab valley the valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita singh hit debut film Betaab the valley is towards north east of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari.the valley is surrounded by lush green meadows,snow clade mountains and covered with dense vegetation.
Post lunch proceed Aru valley-Aru valley is tourist spot 11km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows,and mountains,it is base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar lake.The village lies of the left bank of the Aru river,which is a tributary of the Lidder river.Back to Srinagar overnight stay at hotel in Pahalgam.

Pahalgam is beautiful in early mornings you can choose to go for a walk along the snow fed streams,ride a horse or go for a small trek in to the beautiful pine forests.After a relaxing morning in Pahalgam,you will drive back to Srinagar.On arrival at Srinagar you will be facilitated by our representative at houseboat to facilitate check-in.
In the evening sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat bagh(abode of pleasure)built by Asif Khan brother-in- law of Jahangir in 1632 AD.In addition,Shalimar bagh(abode of love)built by Jahangir for his wife Empress Noor Jahan.All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal lake with the Zabarwan mountains in the background.The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15kms respectively.In addition,visit Shankaracharya temple to have darshan and to have bird’s eye view of Srinagar city and famous Dal lake.Dinner and overnight stay at houseboat.

We begin our day early by visiting famous sufi shrine located in heart of the beautiful old city.Sufism and Kashmir go hand in hand whether it was Buddism,Hinduism or Islam-the great saints came and lived here,preached the religion of humanity.Kashmir has always taken a front seat as far learning of the religions in concern.From this sufi saints tomb we also have a panoramic view of the old part of the town.We will continue our journey in discovering the old city by walking into the offbeat areas and back lanes seeing the local markets,heritage buildings and day to day life.we later end up at a famous Grand Mosque called Jamia Mosque.Here we will do a detailed tour of the mosque and nearby market.Our next stop is the famous old wooden bridge located on famous River Jehlum.On the both sides of the river are located some old traditional houses that were built by rich and famous of the city then,lived in them before the mode of transportations was shifted to roads.An amazing mixture of architecture is worthwhile the trip,we continue on through the narrow streets with colourful merchandise and end up at an epitome of the wooden architecture.This Shah Hamdan mosque which is a pure example of mixture of architectures-a bit of Pagoda,a bit of Persian,a bit of local log house and a little bit pf Central Asian.Very few such buildings have survived the time in the whole world.The paintings on the wood are as fresh in some places as yeater years.At this fascinating place we will pick up our cars and drive to the heart of the city to a famous local restsaurant that specializes in authentic Kashmir cuisine.Dinner and overnight stay at houseboat.

We suggest you wake early and go for an early morning visit to the wholesale vegetable market on the Dal lake.For this you will have to start at 4:45am,the Shikara will be booked an evening ahead based on how many will go you backin the time of breakfast,post which you check out and ahead of airport for your flight back home.
Please ensure you need to check-in 2 hours before your flight time.
Morning at leasure.Later in the day you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Delhi.
