Day 1: Theni Highlights & Gateway to Kerala

Morning Theni District Kumbakkarai Falls & Suruli Falls Check out and visit Kumbakkarai Falls (Kodaikanal foothills) and the majestic Suruli Falls (Meghamalai foothills) for a refreshing start.
Lunch Cumbum Cumbum Valley Lunch Have lunch in the valley and drive past the Grape Gardens.
Afternoon Travel & Thekkady Drive to Thekkady (Kumily) Drive 2-3 hours to Thekkady. Check into your hotel.
Evening Thekkady Cultural Show / Spice Market Visit the spice market and choose to watch either a Kathakali dance or a Kalaripayattu martial arts performance.

Day 2: Wildlife and Transition to Backwaters

Morning Periyar Tiger Reserve Periyar Boat Safari Start early for the 2-hour boat ride on Periyar Lake to view wildlife. (Book tickets online!)
Travel Thekkady to Alleppey Scenic Drive Drive from the high range to the coastal plains (approx. 4-5 hours).
Midday Alleppey Houseboat Check-in Arrive at the Alleppey jetty. Board your Houseboat (usually check-in around 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM). Lunch is served onboard.
Afternoon Backwaters Overnight Cruise Spend the afternoon gliding through the tranquil canals, paddy fields, and Vembanad Lake. The boat anchors by 5:30 PM. Dinner is served onboard.

Morning Alleppey Final Cruise & Beach Check-in Enjoy breakfast and a short morning cruise (8:00 AM – 9:00 AM). Check out from the houseboat. Check into your hotel/resort for the night.
Late Morning Alleppey Town Lighthouse & Town Center Visit the Alappuzha Lighthouse for panoramic views and explore the historic center.
Lunch Alleppey Seafood Speciality Enjoy a meal featuring local fish and seafood.
Afternoon Marari Beach Relaxation at Marari Beach Drive to the serene and quieter Marari Beach. Spend time relaxing by the sea, walking along the palm-fringed shore.
Evening Alleppey Kuttanad Canals (Shikara Ride) Instead of a large boat, take a small, intimate Shikara boat ride through the narrow canals of the Kuttanad region to see village life up close.
