It’s a 14 km trek, and you can either hire ponies or palkies from Banganga (at your own expense) or walk to the temple. Pause for lunch midway, then continue to Vaishno Devi. Once there, you can buy essentials for puja from the local market. After completing puja, aarti, and darshan, trek back down to Katra, arriving by late evening.
