Start your day early to reach Vaishno Devi on time. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, check out, and begin your journey to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, located on Trikuta Mountain at about 5,200 feet. It’s a 14 km trek, and you can either hire ponies or palkies from Banganga (at your own expense) or walk to the temple. Pause for lunch midway, then continue to Vaishno Devi. Once there, you can buy essentials for puja from the local market. After completing puja, aarti, and darshan, trek back down to Katra, arriving by late evening.
