Vishansar Lake is an alpine oligotrophic lake holding both historical and religious significance in the sub-continent. The lake freezes in winters and nourishes many types of fish like brown trout. It is one the best traverses in the Middle Himalayas. A short walk from the Vishansar Lake takes into its twin lake, the Kishansar Lake.
The lake has a scenic beauty, circled by snow-peaked mountains with glaciers formed on the gorges of the mountains and the meadows bearing wild flowers birds.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Srinagar

The Trek Starts from Shutkadi, Sonamarg with Normal Gradient Through Lush Green Meadows. this Follows a 5-hour Hike Through Burj Forests of Table Top that Gives An Aerial View of Sonamarg and Thajwas Ranges. We Camp At Nichnai, the Valley of Wild Flowers for An Overnight Stay.

Day 2

Srinagar

On the Second Day We Walk Through the Kaleidoscope of Wild Flowers and Gushing Stream. a Mild Hike Follows a Steep Ascend to Nichnai Vishansar Pass Leading Us to the Vishansar Valley.

Day 3

Srinagar

A day-camping at Vishansar Valley, behold the Mount Vishnu standing at the mouth of Kishansar Lake.

Day 4

Srinagar

On the Last Day We Will Trek Back to Sonamarg Through Nichnai. After a Mild Ascend Till Vishansar Pass We Will Descend Through the Alpine Flower Valley of Nichnai and Sonamarg.
