  • Day 1 : Arusha City

    Description :

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a representative from Across Africa Nature will warmly welcome and pick you up with a private 4×4 safari vehicle and transfer to Arusha (approximately 50km or 31miles) a 45 to 50 minutes drive on a tarmac road for overnight at Lake Duluti Lodge or similar (Dinner included). Starting from pick up at the airport and throughout your safari, our experienced and passionate driver-guide will give you an enriching knowledge about the people of Tanzania, wild animals’ behavior, their natural environments and other intricacies. Our representative will have a short safari briefing session with you at the lodge and leave you to relax and have dinner. This will be a truly life-enriching safari experience that will be lifetime memorable. Karibu Tanzania!

    Day 2 : Arusha to Moshi (Materuni)

    Description :

    Drive to Moshi town at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro outside the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park lays the beautiful town of Marangu. Here, locals have planned various walking tours through valleys and numerous waterfalls depicting mountain village life. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kilimanjaro in the background without bearing freezing cold temperatures or exerting five days of physical strain. Walking tours through Marangu, breathtaking scenery as its sister city as it also offers walks through numerous waterfalls including the beautiful Kinukamori, Moongo and Mteshani Falls. Learn more about the Chaga culture by visiting a traditional Chaga house made of straw roofing and the caves used to hide during tribal wars. See the first coffee tree planted in Tanzania by an Irish missionary 100 years ago. On clear days the snow of Kibo Peak is so close, the plains so wide and the Pare Mountains to grab. Then drive back to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at Lake Duluti Lodge.

    Day 3 : Arusha (Ngiresi caltural Tourism)

    Description :

    Morning walking with a guide from Arusha Town to Ngiresi cultural tour in the half day visit you will be welcomed with coffee and tea with people gives explanation about the biogas, crossbreeding and soil conservation projects on the farm. Next, you make a walk to some nearby bomas, where you can see the various styles of traditional Maasai and Wa-arusha houses. From there you start climbing Lekimana hill, from where you have a beautiful view over Arusha town and the surrounding Maasai plains. With clear weather Kilimanjaro is visible. You descend Lekimana hill on the other side, so that you can visit Ng'iresi primary school. Back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at the Lake Duluti Lodge.

    Day 4 : Arusha to Babati

    Description :

    Early morning after breakfast drive to Babati and have a walk to Managhat village and climb Bambaay Hill from where you see the beautiful Rift Valley landscape with Lake Babati and Lake Manyara. The Rift Valley Escarpment in the background and the Masaai Steppe at the east. Later you visit a respected Gorowatribesmans, at his home. He will tell you about Gorowa culture, marriage, rain prayers, burial, religious and circumcision rituals. Optionally one can row, fish and view hippos on Lake Babati, using local canoes. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

    Day 5 : Babati to Katesh

    Description :

    This tour begins with a 70 km bus ride from Babati to Katesh. Lunch in a local hotel. From here you start a 16 km bush walk towards the Mangati plains. In Dirma, a Barbaig nomad village, you will be warmly welcomed at Barbai’sBoma. In no time you will see Barbaig women and men coming to see their new guests. Our Barbaig guide will help to translate where only Barbaig language is spoken. Seated on three legged stools you have dinner prepared by the women. In the huts a bed with a skin only is waiting for you.Dinner and overnight at camp.

    Day 6 : Katesh To Mkuru

    Description :

    A relaxed day where the visitor can mix freely with people and gain the cultural insights from men and women, taking pictures together and knowing more about procedures of marriage, burial of elderly men, religious rituals, local taboos etc. Have a look at how they make the goatskin gowns and the ornaments, how they prepare the famous honey brew called Gisuda. One can try to herd cattle or fetch water the Barbaig way. The only school and dispensary can be visited where you can talk with teachers and nurses. Then drive back to Mkuru overnight at the camp.

    Day 7 : Mkuru to Arusha

    Description :

    From the camel camp you can undertake a camel ride of several hours through the plains around Mkuru. On the back of the camel and guided by Maasai warriors, you can perfectly oversee the area and have good chances to view game and special birds. Guided by Maasai warriors you can walk through the acacia woodland around the camel camp in Mkuru. With their sharp eyes, the warriors notice every movement and will show you many special birds that live in this semi arid area. If you are lucky, you can also see some game running away. It is advised that you bring a pair of binoculars if interested in this option.Then drive back to Arusha for Dinner and overnight at River Trees Inn ready for flight back home the following day

    Payment Policy

  • Across Africa Nature Ltd requires a minimum deposit of 50% of the total costs to confirm your tour with the remaining balance of 50% to be paid in full 45 days prior to your tour departure date and first service by our company. Your booking is fully confirmed by our company and becomes legally binding between you and Across Africa Nature Ltd once the 50% advance payment is received in our bank account.
  • Reservations will be cancelled if final payment is not received by the due date with full loss of advance payment. Any changes made 45 days and above of the tour departure date and first service by our company will not be charged any cancellation penalties. We will refund full amount but less the transferring expenses.
  • For international bookings and non-residents of Tanzania, payments should be in Euro, US dollars or UK Sterling. Tanzania nationals and residents can pay in Tanzanian Shillings currency at the rate of exchange applicable at the time of payment.
  • Full payment i.e 100% is required at the time of booking for reservations made within 45 days prior to the commencement of tours.
  • The company reserves the right to withhold all or part of the service (at its sole discretion) if payment is not received in accordance with the above conditions.
  • If you choose to modify the arrangements after the commencement of the tour i.e. change accommodation or the duration of your stay, the company can accept no liability for any loss or additional expense incurred and no refunds will be made.
  • In serving our clients, on behalf of the clients the company will have to subcontract other independent companies such as hotels, lodges and airlines which are not subject to direct control of the Across Africa Nature Ltd. In doing so, the company will always at its own discretion make every effort to ensure that the services provided by subcontractors are of expected standards. However, the Across Africa Nature Ltd will not be liable for any personal loss, injury, property damage, or loss which may occur as a result of using the subcontracted services. In the event that any vendor is unable to provide contracted service, Across Africa Nature Ltd will endeavor to provide the client with alternative arrangement of similar standards, whenever possible.  If the client is not willing to take the alternative arrangements offered by Across Africa Nature Ltd, any refund entitled to the client will be subjected to the terms and conditions of the relevant subcontractors.
  • Payment ModeWe shall give you the means of payment, once you have selected a pre-arranged safari package or you have agreed on a tailor made safari package and you are ready to pay.
  • Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellation of your confirmed booking must be communicated to the Across Africa Nature Ltd in writing. The following penalties will apply from the date on which written cancellation notification is received by the company:-
    • 30-44 days prior to tour departure date and first service: 20% of the total amount.
    • 14-29 days prior to tour departure date and first service: 30% of the total amount.
    • 02-13 days prior to tour departure date and first service: 75% of the total amount.
    • 0-12 days prior to tour departure date and first service: 100% of the total amount.
  • There is no refund for any unused portion of your safari once commenced. Cancellation penalties on airfares are additional and are not included in the above cancellation charges. Cancellation Insurance for the total land tour cost is suggested.
  • Across Africa Nature Ltd is not responsible for any changes in airline schedules, airfares, cancellations, loss or damage to baggage and over booking. All claims for any loss or injury suffered on any airline must be made directly with the airline involved and not Across Africa Nature Ltd.
  • The accommodations described in this brochure may not be available and may be substituted for comparable accommodations. Single rooms may not be available in certain situations due to very limited capacity of hotels and lodges in Tanzania.
  • Safari costs are based on known costs and rates of exchange at the date of insert and any significant changes beyond the control of Across Africa Nature Ltd will be passed to passengers. Tour costs also include expenses incurred by Across Africa Nature Ltd for printing and distribution, advertising, sales and marketing, promotion, provision of toll free reservation service, fax charges, and a commission to your travel agent who handles your reservations and assists you with obtaining necessary visas.
  • Safari prices includes: All expenses for drivers and vehicles appropriate for the itinerary as set out (i.e. for transfers, game drives, drivers’ lodgings) unless stated in the itinerary; Government taxes, training levies and service charges, All entry fees except where specifically indicated separately; Normal communication costs required to make the reservation.
  • Safari prices excludes: personal insurance; Airport taxes; Landing fees (for charters); Visas; Gratuities to drivers and porters (other than hotel service charges); Beverages; Laundry; Other personal expenses of tour members (i.e. telephone calls etc); Any tour services requested that do not appear in the itinerary.
  • Force Majure: refers to any circumstances where the execution of contractual service is prevented or affected by factors beyond the reasonable control of Across Africa Nature Ltd including but not limited to acts of God, war, threat of war, civil strife, disease epidemics, industrial dispute, terrorism activity, natural disasters such as weather conditions, earthquake, volcano eruptions, fire, governmental actions, and other unexpected and unforeseen occurrences. In these circumstances, Across Africa Nature Ltd shall not be liable to pay any compensation or otherwise be responsible for any expenses or losses the client may incur where we are forced as a result to cancel, delay, curtail or change the client’s arrangement in any way or where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligation is prevented or affected.
  • In the unlikely event that Across Africa Nature Ltd has to cancel, amend or curtail your travel arrangements due to our negligence, our failure to exercise care in making the arrangements for you and /or breach of our contractual agreement, we will take liability.
  • Travel Documents: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their passport, visa, health certificates, vaccinations or any other documentation required for the trip are obtained and are in order. Should Across Africa Nature Ltd incur any cots as a result of failure by the client to fulfill his or her responsibility such costs shall be recovered from the client.
  • Law: The Company’s contract will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Tanzania. Accordingly each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of Tanzania courts to settle any dispute or matter arising under contract.
  • Once the booking is confirmed, you automatically agree with our terms and conditions as stated above.
  • Across Africa Nature Ltd reserves the right to amend or delete any terms and conditions without prior notice to clients.
