Yoga In The Serene Himalayas

Arrival Hardwar later drive to Rishikesh. On arrival transfer to Ashram at Rishikesh. Overnight hotel.

Today we start for you the Yogic Union that offers a wide variety of paths for putting you in touch with your true blissful nature. The schedule starts off with pranayam and meditation classes from 06:30 - 08:00 A.M., lectures from 09:00 - 10:30 A.M. Hatha yoga (elaborating physical postures, breathing techniques and Cleansing practices) from 05:00 - 06:30 P.M. & bhajanas from 08:00 - 09:30 P.M., three vegetarian meals per day are offered. Overnight stay at the Ashram.

Today we shall go in for our early morning Yoga classes and later drive you to GANGOTRI via Uttarkashi. The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3048 mts. amidst captivating surroundings. Gangotri is located at a distance of 99 Kms. from Uttarkashi. On arrival, check in into hotel. Overnight stay.

Today early morning go in for the yoga classes; later practice what you have learned till date. In the evening explore the surroundings. In the evening visit the holy temple of Ganga. Overnight stay.

Today we continue with the same schedule as the one we followed yesterday. Later visit the other places as mentioned below. Overnight at Hotel.

Gangotri Temple : The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.

Submerged Shivling : Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.

Kedar Ganga Sangam : Around 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from the Kedar Valle, this river meets the Bhagirathi on its left bank.

Today morning get ready to begin your trek to BHOJBASA. Check in Camps. Camp fire followed by Dinner. Night halt.

Today practice Yoga in the serene and holy atmosphere of BHOJBASA. After breakfast start trek to Gaumukh. Overnight in Camps.

The Gaumukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganga) and is held in high esteem by the devotes who do not miss the opportunity to have a holy dip in the bone chilling icy water. Gaumukh is where the waters of Ganga trickle down from the glaciers. The sages called it 'Gaumukh', because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth; though today, it doesn't appear so.DAY 8 - GAUMUKH - BHOJBASA. Today trek back to BHOJBASA after Meditation Session. On arrival check in into Camps.

Today after early morning yoga practice trek back to Gangotri later we shall drive you back to Uttarkashi. Overnight hotel.

Uttarkashi is an important pilgrimage centre, equated with Varanasi or Kashi in divinity. It is located in a wide stretch of a valley. Situated at a distance of 145 Kms. from Rishikesh, the last rail head and at an elevation of 1158 mts. on the bank of river Bhagirathi, this picturesque town is also the district headquarter. From the religious point of view as well, it is considered important because the temple of Lord Vishwanath, is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. Description about this temple is given '' Kedar Khand'' (Skand-Puran). The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav and Gyaneshwar. The temple of Goddess Kuteti Devi is situated at the top of hill about 1.5 Kms. away.

Today after early morning yoga practice drive back to Rishikesh. Rest day at leisure. Overnight in Ashram.

The morning yoga asana classes starts from 07:00 - 08:00 A.M. Later on we continue them from 04:00 - 05:30 P.M. & meditation classes from 06:00 - 07:00P.M. The meals here would be simple but wholesome - keeping with the Yogic teachings. Overnight at the Ashram.

Today after breakfast day free to bind up then after lunch drive back to Hardwar enroute visit the holy Har-ki -pauri (Ganga) later drive to Rly. Stn. to board Shatabdi Express to Delhi. END OF OUR SERVICES.
