Day 1

Kalimpong → Pedong → Rongli → Padamchen/Zuluk

Distance: ~90 km | Drive: 4.5–5 hrs
Route: Kalimpong → Algarah → Pedong → Reshi → Rongli (permit) → Lingzey → Padamchen/Zuluk
Highlights
Pedong viewpoint
Reshi Khola riverside stop
Permit processing at Rongli checkpost
Stay: Padamchen (best for acclimatization) or Zuluk
Altitude: Padamchen 7,000 ft • Zuluk 10,000 ft
Tip: Avoid reaching Zuluk directly from low altitude—stay first night in Padamchen.

Zuluk → Thambi View Point → Lungthung → Gnathang Valley

Start: Early 4:30–5:00 AM for sunrise
