Climate & Geography
Botswana has a hot and arid climate. Most part of the year is hot and dry with the rains occurring in the summer seasons. The humidity in the winters is very less, making Botswana a wonderful place to visit during this time. The summer temperatures are however high with the thermometer touching 44 degrees C on a few occasions.
The Kalahari Desert covers almost 70% of Botswana. On its south and southeast is South Africa, to its northeast is Zimbabwe, to its west and north is Namibia and to its north is Kazungula. Botswana lies between latitudes 17 degrees and 27 degrees S and longitudes 20 degrees and 30 degrees E.
Transportation
The highways and airports serve as the primary modes of transportation. The railways are not very developed but play an important role in connecting Botswana to its neighbors.
