10-day Premium Kenya Safari Itinerary

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). After clearing customs you will meet your dedicated driver guide and transfer to Best Western Plus Westlands Nairobi for a bed and breakfast stay. The evening is set for relaxation and a relaxed dinner at the hotels rooftop lounge overlooking the city.

Urban wildlife experiences around Nairobi with a morning visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to observe orphaned baby elephants during their public mud bath and feeding hour, followed by an afternoon at the Giraffe Centre to hand feed Rothschild giraffes and lunch in Karen. Return to Westlands in the evening for dinner at local dining spots.

After breakfast depart north through central Kenyas agricultural highlands with views of pineapple and coffee plantations en route to Nanyuki. Check in at the boutique Olesamara Collection for a 2 night full board stay and spend the afternoon relaxing at the property with potential clear views of Mount Kenya.

Full day wildlife and conservation focus at Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a full day game drive to track the Big Five, visit the protected sanctuary for the worlds last two remaining Northern White Rhinos, and meet rescued chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Evening sundowners on the plains and gourmet dinner back at Olesamara.

Drive down the Thompson Falls escarpment into the Great Rift Valley basin and check in to Pundamilia Camp Nakuru on a full board basis. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, noted for its rhino sanctuary and dense populations of pink flamingos and pelicans along the lake shores.

Depart early crossing the floor of the Great Rift Valley en route to the world renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Check in to premium safari tents at Mara Kimana Camp on a full board basis and embark on an afternoon game drive. July and August are peak months for the Great Wildebeest Migration with immense herds and active predators on the plains.

A full day of tracking the Great Migration starting at dawn to maximize predator sightings. Travel with a picnic lunch toward the Mara River ecosystem to search for herds preparing to cross crocodile infested waters, returning to camp in the evening for dinner around the campfire.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive in the Mara before checking out and driving to freshwater Lake Naivasha. Check in at Naivasha West Beach Camp for a full board stay, then board an afternoon boat cruise to spot hippos and fish eagles and optionally take a guided walking safari on Crescent Island to walk alongside giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks.

After breakfast by the lake drive back up the Rift Valley escarpment to Nairobi and re check into Best Western Plus Westlands for your final night. Spend the afternoon visiting the nearby Sarit Center mall and explore metropolitan shopping and dining options.

Half day disposal and local excursions followed by departure. Use your private disposal tour van for a morning visit to Sensory Garden Limuru or a bean to cup harvest experience at Fairview Coffee Farm, then visit 254 Brewing Co. for a brewery tour and farewell lunch and browse local curio shops before transfer to JKIA in the late afternoon or evening for your onward international flight.
