10 Days Bush - Beach Flying Safari Tour

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport at around 8am and transfer to Wilson airport for your flight to Samburu National Reserve. You will pass over lush farmlands and catch glimpses of the glaciered slopes of Mt. Kenya before dropping down to the arid country of the North and the Samburu Game Reserve. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Ashnil Samburu Camp. After lunch proceed for evening game drive here you will have a chance of seeing the Samburu Special Five which are Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and Grevy’s zebra return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the surroundings from our lodge ' s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, we ' re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve ' s grasslands and acacia woodlands. The day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in the lodge. You shall enjoy 2 game drives each day. One in the morning and the other in the evening. Enjoy an early morning game drive returning to the camp on time for breakfast. Checkout thereafter where you will be transferred to the airstrip to catch your flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and you will be met on arrival by your guide who will transfer you to Ashnil Mara Camp for lunch. Relax after lunch after the long journey till 1600hrs. Leave the camp for an evening game drive till 1830hrs. Masai Mara is renowned for the spectacular great migration that takes place in July through October. You can spot all of the big five (Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant & cape buffalo) at any time of the year. Wake up at first light enjoy a steaming cup of coffee and leave the camp in search of big game. Early morning game drives are recommended as that’s the time most of the animals are active. Among the animals you can look forward to seeing include the Maasai Giraffe, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, Thompson's gazelles, Grant's gazelles, impalas, topis, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, hyenas, dik-dik, klipspringer, waterbuck, bushbuck, Coke's heartbeest, black rhino, eland, baboons, fox, jackals as well as numerous bird species including ostrich, cormorants, grebes, storks, falcons, bastards among others. Return to the camp for a full breakfast and later enjoy the camp facilities. Later leave the camp late afternoon for an evening game drive till dusk.
