2-Day Itinerary - The Quick Glimpse Tour

Morning: Arrive at Paro International Airport (PBH). The flight into Paro is famously scenic, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas on a clear day. Your guide will meet you at the airport.

Late Morning: Drive to Thimphu, the capital city (approximately 1 hour).

Afternoon:

Buddha Dordenma: Visit the colossal Buddha statue on a hilltop overlooking the Thimphu Valley. The statue is one of the largest in the world and offers panoramic views.

National Memorial Chorten: This is a stupa built in memory of Bhutan's third king. It's a popular site for locals to circumambulate and pray.

Tashichho Dzong (optional, depending on time): Visit the "Fortress of Glorious Religion," which houses the throne room of the King and is the summer residence of the Central Monastic Body.

Evening: Stroll through Thimphu town, explore local handicraft markets, or simply relax at your hotel.

Morning: Early morning drive from Thimphu back to Paro.

Mid-Morning: Begin the hike to Paro Taktsang, or the "Tiger's Nest" Monastery. This is the highlight of most Bhutan trips. The hike takes about 4-5 hours for a round trip. The monastery, perched on a cliffside, is a sacred Buddhist site with a spectacular view. For those unable to hike, a horse ride to the viewpoint is an alternative (at an extra cost).

Afternoon: After the hike and lunch, you'll have a quick visit to a few of Paro's key sites, such as the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples.

Late Afternoon: Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure.
