2 Days Arrival - Exploring Kitulo’s Flora Tour

Arrive at Mbeya (the nearest major town) either via domestic flight or road transfer.
Travel to Kitulo National Park (~2.5-hour drive from Mbeya).
Check into a nearby lodge or campsite at the park boundary.
Enjoy a leisurely guided walking tour to explore the park's unique flora. Kitulo is home to over 350 plant species, including wild orchids, proteas, and a variety of endemic flowers. Best visited during the rainy season (November to April) when the flowers bloom.

Hiking & Bird watching

After breakfast, embark on a hike through the scenic grasslands and forested areas of Kitulo. Popular hiking trails include the Matamba Ridge Trail which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and valleys.

Return to your lodge, check out, and transfer back to Mbeya for your onward travel.
