  • Day 1

    Spiritual and Mythical Naimisharanya

    Morning: Arrival & Naimisharanya pilgrimage (approx. 30–35 km from Sitapur city)
    Start with Shri Naimishnath Vishnu Temple—a sacred Divya Desam where Vishnu is worshipped; surrounded by Chakra Kund and Gomati river .

    Visit Chakra Tirth—a natural kund formed by the legendary Sudarshan Chakra; considered the holiest bathing spot .

    Continue to Vyasa Peetha (Vyas Gaddi)—where sage Vyasa is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and organized the Vedas .

    Walk around Hanuman Garhi, Panch‑Prayag pond, and Panch‑Pandav & Rudravart temples—all clustered within the site of mythological penance by 88,000 sages .

    Lunch: Simple local thali at Naimisharanya area or nearby dhaba.
    Afternoon: Lalita Devi & Char Dham Temple
    Visit Lalita Devi Temple, considered one of the Shakti Peethas, near Chakra Kund .

    Explore the Char Dham Temple, built in white marble, symbolizing pilgrimage to the four Dhams in one site .

    History, Culture & Nature Around Sitapur

    Morning: Sightseeing near Sitapur
    Drive to Biswan (~15 km away) to visit the historic town and tomb of Mumtaz Hussain built in Persian style (~1047 Hijri era) .

    Stop at Mahmoodabad Fort (~63 km): a ruined yet fascinating estate founded in 1677 by Raja Mahmud Khan; a glimpse of Awadh architecture .

    Optional:
    Dadhichi Temple & Kund in Misrikh tehsil (~35 km): sacred pond where sage Dadhichi sacrificed bones for the devas; beautiful spot with fish and peaceful atmosphere .
