Arrival Day in Arusha. Guests will arrive and be met for transfer to their Arusha accommodation. This day serves as the arrival and orientation day with time to settle into the lodge in Arusha prior to the safari start. Accommodation and transfers are arranged as included in the package.
Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees and supports a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, impalas and rare species such as gerenuk and great kudu. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded in the park, and predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs can also be encountered. Guests will experience drives and wildlife photography opportunities and will stay overnight in a safari lodge or tented camp.
Drive from Tarangire towards Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing inside the crater followed by return to Arusha. Ngorongoro Crater offers a concentrated wildlife experience with possible sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and many birds of prey. The day includes crater descent for game viewing, enjoying picnic or lodge lunch as arranged, then ascending and returning to Arusha. The tour concludes with drop off at Arusha or airport depending on arrangements.
