The highlight of this 2 days lodge safari is the large elephant herd and giant baobab trees at Tarangire with around 6000 elephants recorded. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo warthogs, baboons, impalas, rare species of Gerenuk and Great Kudu, Oryx and other species. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded in Tarangire. In Ngorongoro you may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and countless birds of prey. The tour includes game drives, professional English speaking guide, meals, mineral water, overnight stays in safari lodges or tented camps and all national park fees and government taxes.
Arrival Day. Arrive and settle in prior to the start of the safari. This day is designated for arrival and preparation for the safari that begins the following day. Accommodation in Arusha is provided as part of the package.
Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for full day game drives. Tarangire is noted for large herds of elephants and giant baobab trees. Expect extensive wildlife viewing including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, impalas and rarer species such as Gerenuk and Great Kudu, as well as over 400 bird species. This day focuses on wildlife and photographic opportunities within Tarangire with overnight stay at a safari lodge or tented camp.
Depart Tarangire and proceed to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing in the crater followed by return to Arusha. Ngorongoro Crater offers dense wildlife concentrations and predator sightings including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals as well as numerous birds of prey. The day includes game drives and photographic opportunities in the crater and ends with return to Arusha where the safari concludes.
