Take a 2 nights visit to the unique Amboseli National Park, famous for being one of the best areas in Africa to observe large clans of elephants and different species of birds. Enjoy the sights of these mighty giants bathing in the orange dirt with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Arrival: Youll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Early in the morning depart Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National Park. On arrival check in at your accommodation. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive through the park which consists of a dry ancient lakebed, fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland and small rocky volcanic hills. See lush vegetation around swamps such as Ol Kenya, Ol Tokay and Enkongo Narok with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp after the evening drive.
Rise early to view Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build over the summit. A packed lunch is provided for the day. After breakfast an optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned to experience singing, dancing and a glimpse into Maasai homes and social structure. Spend the day observing wildlife, with Amboseli renowned for close range experiences with elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps; elephants in the park have largely been left unharassed by poachers. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
After breakfast undertake a morning game drive in Amboseli. Depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi, arriving at about 5:00 pm with lunch en route. On arrival transfer to your hotel or to the airport for onward travel. No accommodation is included at the end of the tour. End of tour arrangements such as additional accommodation can be arranged at extra cost and you will be dropped off at the airport if required.
