Day 1

Day 1:dar Es Salaam To Mafia Island

Depart from Dar es Salaam Airport at 09:30 AM, depending on flight availability. The short flight of approximately 30 minutes offers stunning aerial views of Tanzania’s turquoise waters, scattered islands, and pristine coastline as you make your way to Mafia Island. Upon arrival at Mafia Airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your lodge. Take time to settle in and enjoy the serene surroundings of the island. Spend the afternoon swimming in the warm, clear waters of the Indian Ocean, sunbathing on soft sandy beaches, or simply relaxing in this peaceful tropical paradise. Your day includes Breakfast and dinner at the lodge, featuring both local and international cuisine. Overnight is at Butihama Beach Lodge, offering comfort, l and a stunning beachfront location—an ideal start to your unforgettable Mafia Island adventure.

Day 2

Day 2: Whale Shark Watching In Mafia Island

Start the day with an early breakfast before setting out to encounter the magnificent whale sharks! These gentle giants are seasonally found just a few hundred meters off Kilindoni Harbour. A short boat ride west takes you to their feeding grounds, where fins and dark shapes soon appear. Up to 24 sharks—males, females, and juveniles—may be seen at once, all beautifully patterned with stripes and spots. Some exceed 8 meters in length, creating an impressive sight beside the boat and a stunning view underwater. Guests can swim or snorkel for a closer look, while the boat moves quietly among them. Afterward, return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. This experience can be enhanced with a beach picnic, swimming, a visit to Kilindoni Market, or a full-day trip to Ras Kisimani or Bwejuu Island at an additional cost. Day 3

Day 3: Mafia Island- Dar Es Salaam

After breakfast, you have the option to explore Chole Mjini or enjoy snorkeling in the Mafia Island Marine Park. Nearby, there are several beautiful beaches and sandbars within easy reach of Pole Pole in Chole Bay, including Miewe, Mvinje, Marimbani Sand Bar, and Mchangani. Extras: Marine Park fees are USD 20 per person per night, payable directly at the Marine Park gate by cash or credit card. Additional excursions, such as snorkeling and sunset cruises, can also be booked and paid for directly at the hotel.In the afternoon, transfer to Mafia Airstrip for your flight to Dar es Salaam, departing either at 03:45 PM (arriving 04:15 PM) or 05:35 PM (arriving 06:10 PM).

Please Note:
• Taxes, park fees, concession fees, VAT exemptions, and other taxes are based in Oﬃcial Government legislation at booking time. Should any of these be changed by the Government of Tanzania, Go Extra Mile Safaris of Tanzania reserves the right to amend the rates accordingly.
• If accommodation is full at the time of the booking, comparable alternatives will be suggested (according to availability)
• Transport on safari is provided in 4-wheel-drive vehicles. City and other similar transfers may be provided in minivans. The company reserves the right to employ the services of subcontractors where necessary.
Booking Terms & Conditions:
• To confirm our clients' reservation, Go Extra Mile Safaris requires a 25% deposit payment at the time of making your booking. Failure to do so will result in your reservation automatically being canceled.
• The balance of payment is due 8 weeks (60 days) before the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) before departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.
• Please note that should you have been quoted in foreign currency and wish to settle payment using a credit card, your quotation will be converted to Tanzanian Shillings before the transaction is processed due to foreign exchange regulations by the Bank of Tanzania. The rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Shilling amount, with any resulting foreign exchange differences or bank charges being for the client's account. The Bank of Tanzania prohibits Tanzanian companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to Tanzanian shillings before it is credited to the recipient. Clients are welcome to settle payment employing a bank transfer - in this instance, the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice.
• It is the client's responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the Go Extra Mile Safaris bank account and that ALL bank charges are to be borne by the client's account.

• 20% penalty if you cancel between 30 and 60 days earlier
• a penalty of 50% if you cancel with 15 to 30 days' notice
• a 75% penalty if you cancel with 7 to 14 days' notice,
• a penalty of 100% if you cancel with less than a week's notice
• Oﬃcial Govt Fees paid remain Non-refundable
