Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 Nairobi To Lake Nakuru

    Lake Nakuru National Park
    Lake Nakuru National Park

Begin your journey with an 8:00 AM departure from Nairobi, traveling northwest through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley on a scenic three-hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Pause at the iconic Rift Valley viewpoint to capture spectacular panoramic photos before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge and enjoy a relaxing lunch. At 3:00 PM, head out on an exciting afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its exceptional birdlife and one of Kenya's most successful rhino conservation areas. Depending on the season (especially from November to March) the alkaline lake may be lined with thousands of lesser flamingos, creating a striking pink spectacle along the shoreline. Keep an eye out for both black and white rhinos, as the park offers some of the most reliable rhino sightings in Kenya. You'll also have opportunities to see the rare Rothschild giraffe, waterbucks, buffaloes, baboons and, with a bit of luck, elusive leopards and lions roaming the park's acacia woodlands, open grasslands and rocky escarpments. Conclude the afternoon with a visit to Baboon Cliff, where you'll enjoy sweeping views of the lake as the sun sets, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your day with an early breakfast before setting off on a final morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. This is an excellent opportunity to spot any wildlife you may have missed the previous day, with outstanding chances of seeing both black and white rhinos at close range, along with a rich variety of bird species in their natural habitat. At approximately 10:00 AM, depart Lake Nakuru for the scenic two-hour drive to Lake Naivasha, a picturesque freshwater lake renowned for its tranquil waters and lush papyrus-fringed shoreline. Upon arrival, check in to your lakeside lodge and enjoy a leisurely lunch while taking in beautiful views of the lake. In the afternoon, set out on a relaxing one-hour boat safari across Lake Naivasha. Cruise past pods of hippos from a safe distance as fish eagles soar overhead in search of prey. Along the way, look out for pelicans, cormorants, herons, kingfishers, and many of the lake's more than 400 recorded bird species. The shoreline is lined with graceful fever trees that are also home to playful colobus monkeys. Following the boat excursion, continue to the nearby Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary for a guided walking safari. One of the few places in Kenya where you can explore on foot among free-roaming wildlife, the sanctuary offers close encounters with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and a variety of antelope in a predator-free environment. The experience is enhanced by spectacular 360-degree views of Lake Naivasha and the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpments before returning to your lodge for the evening.

  • Day 3 Hell's Gate Adventure And Return To Nairobi

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and take a short 20-minute drive to Hell's Gate National Park, one of Kenya's most unique parks where visitors can experience the wilderness on foot or by bicycle. Upon arrival, choose between an exciting cycling adventure (bicycle rental available at approximately $10) or a guided nature walk through breathtaking scenery featuring towering cliffs, deep gorges, volcanic rock formations and steaming geothermal vents. The park's dramatic landscape is said to have inspired the setting for Disney's *The Lion King*, with iconic landmarks such as Fischer's Tower and Central Tower. Along the way, look out for zebras, gazelles, warthogs, baboons and a variety of birds of prey. Spend the next two to three hours exploring the park's scenic trails and the spectacular gorge. For those seeking a little more adventure, optional activities include rock climbing or a guided descent into the gorge to discover its fascinating caves (local guide required; approximately $5). Continue to the nearby geothermal area, where natural steam escapes from beneath the earth's surface, showcasing the region's volcanic activity. Guests may also choose to unwind with an optional visit to the natural hot springs (approximately $5). Around midday, depart the park and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before beginning the return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon at approximately 3:30–4:00 PM. We definately will give 5 star Our group of eight had an unforgettable experience with Lamara Tourism on both the 4-day and 5-day Tanzania safaris. From the moment we were picked up, everything was handled with precision and care. And the best of the best their guides were not just drivers — they were storytellers, great animal spotters, and friends who made every moment feel magical. Each day brought new surprises: lions basking in the sun, elephants crossing our path, and breathtaking sunsets over the Serengeti that felt straight out of a dream. The lodges in Mara were comfortable, meals delicious, and the entire itinerary perfectly balanced adventure with relaxation. What truly stood out was Lamara’s attention to detail and their genuine warmth — we felt cared for throughout. If you’re looking for a safari that combines professional service, comfort, and authentic African adventure, Lamara Tourism is the team to trust. Truly a dream safari come true!

. From the moment we landed in Nairobi, Lamara Tourism made everything seamless. Our first game drive at Nairobi National Park was the perfect start, with giraffes and rhinos against the city skyline! Tsavo West’s rugged beauty left us breathless, and Amboseli’s elephants walking under the shadow of Kilimanjaro felt like a dream. Our guide, Karis, had eagle eyes—spotting a leopard at Lake Nakuru before anyone else! Masai Mara was simply magical, and ending our trip with two nights in sunny Mombasa was the perfect touch. Lamara’s organization, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made this the best safari experience we could imagine.
