This 3-day Fly-In Safari to Amboseli National Park offers a seamless and scenic escape to one of Kenya s most iconic wildlife areas, known for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of free roaming elephants. After a morning flight from Nairobi s Wilson Airport guests enjoy a short game drive en route to the luxurious Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. The itinerary includes afternoon and early morning game drives with common sightings of elephants, hippos, lions, cheetahs and numerous bird species often set against the striking backdrop of Africa s tallest mountain.
Meet at 7:00am for a safari briefing and drive to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli. The flight is approximately 45 minutes to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a driver guide who will transfer you to Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge with a short game drive enjoying the views. After lunch depart for a late afternoon game drive exploring one of Kenyas most popular tourist parks with opportunities to see animals against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Expect to see elephants in swamp areas sharing water with hippos and hiding beneath papyrus. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Meal plan for the day is lunch and dinner.
Rise early for breakfast and depart for a full day of game drives in Amboseli National Park. Experience open vehicle viewing with 360 degree visibility through pop up roof hatches and opportunities to see Burchell s zebras, Thomson s and Grant s gazelles, buffalo, warthog, Maasai giraffe, impala, waterbuck and dik dik. Scarce woodlands host baboons and vervet monkeys while carnivores include lions, spotted hyenas, wild cats, jackals, caracals and cheetahs. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded including pelican, flamingo, kingfisher, African fish eagle, ibis, secretary bird and many more. After the rains the park gathers large flocks of water birds. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge with all meals included.
Enjoy a final early morning game drive before breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi s Wilson Airport. The return flight brings to an end the safari. End of service on arrival in Nairobi with no accommodation included for the final night. Meal plan for the day is breakfast only.
