This 4 day Splendid Vacations Safaris tour explores three famous parks in southeastern Kenya: Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West National Park and Tsavo East National Park. The safari begins with airport or hotel pickup in Nairobi and transfers to Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by game drives. The itinerary includes a visit to Mzima Springs in Tsavo West to see hippos and fish, an afternoon and early evening game drive to spot wildlife including maneless lions, and game drives in Tsavo East including a visit to Aruba Dam. Accommodation is provided in mid range lodges inside the parks as specified, meals are included as noted per day, and additional accommodation before or after the tour can be arranged at extra cost.
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi and given a safari briefing before departing for Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival at the camp you will check in and have lunch, and in the afternoon you will depart for a game drive to explore Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and varied park terrain including a dry ancient lake bed, grassland, acacia woodland and swamps. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast you will depart Amboseli and drive to Tsavo West National Park, a journey of less than three hours with a game drive en route. The itinerary includes a guaranteed stop at the famous Mzima Springs to view hippos and fish in crystalline clear water. On arrival at your lodge you will check in for lunch, relax at the lodge until 16h00, and then be collected by the driver for a two hour afternoon game drive where you may spot maneless lions. The day concludes with dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge, a mid range lodge inside Tsavo West National Park. All meals are included at this lodge; drinks are not included.
After breakfast you will check out of your lodge and proceed to Tsavo East National Park with a game drive en route. You will arrive at your lodge in the early afternoon for a hot lunch and time to relax and enjoy lodge facilities and activities. Around 15h00 your tour guide will collect you for an afternoon game drive towards Aruba Dam, exploring areas famous for the historical man eaters of Tsavo and enjoying game viewing until late evening. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge, a mid range lodge inside Tsavo East National Park. All meals are included at this lodge; drinks are not included.
On the final day you will rise at sunrise for an early game drive following animal trails in search of wildlife not yet seen during the safari. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and then proceed to Mombasa or Malindi. You will be delivered to your residence, beach hotel, or the airport by early evening. The day includes breakfast and lunch; dinner and drinks are not included. Additional accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost.
