The trip from Arusha to Tarangire National Park starts with an early morning drive of about 2 to 3 hours, covering roughly 120–150 kilometre's through scenic countryside and Maasai villages. On arrival at Tarangire, guests enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of birds, especially near the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, traveller's leave the park and drive to Karatu, where they spend the night at the Castle at Ngorongoro, a charming lodge offering comfortable accommodations and beautiful views of the surrounding highlands, providing a relaxing stop before continuing the safari to Ngorongoro Crater
