A classic 4 day circuit through Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater with a cultural stop at Mto wa Mbu on the way back to Arusha. The itinerary features game drives in Tarangire known for enormous elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, varied wildlife and tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara, and a full day descent into the Ngorongoro Crater offering sightings of the Big Five and dense populations of plains game. The trip includes cultural experiences at Mto wa Mbu and full board accommodation for three nights.
Arrival in Tanzania with meet and drive to Tarangire National Park. Guests will be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or in Arusha and transferred directly to Tarangire National Park, famed for its enormous elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Settle in at the lodge for the first taste of the African bush. Overnight accommodation is at Africa Safari Rift Valley with lunch and dinner provided.
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park beneath the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara is known for tree climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos and a lush groundwater forest, offering a varied game drive experience within a compact park. Overnight accommodation is at Africa Safari Karatu with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africas greatest wildlife spectacles. Spend the day on the crater floor searching for the Big Five as well as zebra, wildebeest and flamingo lined soda lakes. The itinerary includes the Ngorongoro Crater floor game drive and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area fee is included. Overnight is at Africa Safari Karatu with breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
On the return to Arusha stop at Mto wa Mbu for a cultural visit. Enjoy a guided cultural walk through local markets, farms and workshops in this lively multi tribal village at the base of the Rift Valley before transferring onward for departure to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. This is the departure day and overnight is not included. Meals include breakfast and lunch.
