"Srinagar, is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian union territory
of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum
River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for
its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats".
On arrival at the Srinagar airport and transfer to Hotel. After noon take some
sightseeing of Srinagar half day tour of world-famous Mughal Gardens visiting
the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Adobe of love),
Shankaracharya Temple, Pari Mahal, Shikara rode and Hazratbal Shrine.
Evening back to hotel for overnight stay.

Sonamarg, which means ‘meadow of gold’ has, as its backdrop, snowy
mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds
with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. In late April
when Sonamarg is open for road transport, the visitors can have access to snow
which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Private vehicles are not allowed.
Visitors have to hire taxi and it is controlled by taxi mafia. Ponies can be hired
for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months.
The climate of Sonamarg is very bracing; but the rainfall is frequent though not
heavy, except for two or three days at a time in July and August with fine spell
in between. From Sonamarg, trekking routes lead to the Himalayan lakes of
Vishansar Lake, Krishansar Lake, Gangabal Lake and Gadsar Lake, stocked
with Snowtrout and Brown trout and Satsar, glacier-fed and surrounded by
banks of alpine flowers.
A close by excursion is to Baltal, 15 km east of Sonamarg. This little valley lies
at the foot of the Zojila, only a day’s journey away from the sacred cave of
Amarnath is a base camp for Amarnath yatra. Trekkers can also reach the
starkly splendid roof-top of the world Leh, by crossing over the Zoji La pass.
At Sonamarg the Jammu and Kashmir tourism department organizes river
rafting tournaments yearly, which has recently seen the participation of teams
abroad".
After breakfast proceeds to full day excursion of Sonamarg which is one of the
most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonamarg also called Meadows of Gold is
located at a height of 2692 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost)
to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Evening Back to
Srinagar, Overnight Stay in the hotel

"Pahalgam is a hill station in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mountain trails run northeast to Amarnath Cave Temple, a Hindu shrine and site
of the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. Over Aru Wildlife Sanctuary is home
to animals including brown bears and musk deer. Northeast, the Lidder River
runs through scenic Betaab Valley. Southeast, Tulian Lake is flanked by
mountain peaks and often frozen".
After Breakfast early morning, we drive to Pahalgam via Pampore, Avantipura
and then Local Sightseeing in Pahalgam. Like Chandanwari, Aru Valley and
Betab Valley (at your own cost) and back to Pahalgam overnight stay.
