5-DAY NORTHERN TANZANIA MID-RANGE SAFARI

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit. Arusha is situated at the foot of Mount Meru and is a vibrant town surrounded by coffee plantations and picturesque landscapes. Depending on arrival time guests may relax at the lodge, prepare for the safari adventure ahead, enjoy a delicious dinner and have a peaceful overnight stay before beginning wildlife exploration the following morning.

After breakfast depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most captivating wildlife destinations covering nearly 3,000 square kilometers and renowned for giant baobab trees, vast savannah landscapes and large elephant populations. The Tarangire River attracts abundant wildlife year round including lions giraffes zebras wildebeest buffaloes and numerous antelope species while bird enthusiasts can expect over 500 bird species. Enjoy an extensive game drive in the park with opportunities to view wildlife and birdlife and have a picnic lunch before proceeding to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast depart toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that supports one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife including lions elephants buffaloes hippos hyenas and the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch on the crater floor taking in the dense wildlife sightings and scenic crater views. After the crater visit continue through scenic highlands and plains toward Serengeti National Park, famed for endless grasslands the Great Migration and extraordinary predator and plains game viewing. Arrive at camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's iconic wildlife sanctuary known for endless plains remarkable biodiversity and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest zebras and gazelles. The park supports thriving populations of predators including lions leopards cheetahs and hyenas as well as elephants and numerous other species. Enjoy exceptional wildlife viewing during morning activities then after lunch depart the Serengeti and travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands back to Karatu arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge in Karatu enjoy a relaxed morning before transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for the departure flight. Depending on flight schedule guests may unwind at the lodge or take part in optional local activities such as a cultural visit to Mto wa Mbu village including plantation walks local school visits and a tuk tuk or bicycle ride through the community or a coffee tour in Karatu if offered by the lodge. Later transfer to the airport marking the end of the Tanzanian safari.
