5-day Northern Tanzania Mid-range Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzanias Northern Safari Circuit. Arusha sits at the foot of Mount Meru and is surrounded by coffee plantations and scenic landscapes. Depending on arrival time guests may relax at the lodge and prepare for the safari. The evening includes dinner and an overnight stay at Under The Shade Safari Lodge before beginning wildlife exploration the next morning.

After breakfast depart Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park, known for giant baobab trees, expansive savannah and large elephant populations. Spend the day on extensive game drives observing lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and many antelope species and enjoy abundant birdlife. A picnic lunch is provided in the park. In the afternoon proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Depart early after breakfast for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with one of Africas highest concentrations of wildlife including lions elephants buffalo hippos hyenas and the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch on the crater floor. In the afternoon continue through scenic highlands and plains toward Serengeti National Park, arriving at Moyo Tented Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, renowned for endless plains extraordinary wildlife and the Great Migration. Expect opportunities to see predators and plains game including lions leopards cheetahs hyenas elephants and many other species. After lunch depart the Serengeti and travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward Karatu, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge.

After breakfast at the lodge in Karatu enjoy a relaxed morning before transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure. Depending on flight schedule guests may unwind at the lodge or take part in optional cultural activities. Options include visiting Mto wa Mbu village for plantation walks local school visits and a tuk tuk or bicycle ride through the community or enjoying a coffee tour in Karatu if offered by the lodge. Later transfer to the airport marking the end of the safari.
