Early morning departure through the Nairobi–Mombasa highway to Tsavo East National Park. Entry into Tsavo East marks the beginning of game viewing almost immediately, with wildlife often seen near the park gate. The afternoon game drive focuses on red elephants dusting themselves in iron-rich soil, sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras and buffalo, and views of the Galana River and open savannah landscapes. Overnight accommodation is in a lodge or tented camp inside or near Tsavo East.

A full day dedicated to wildlife viewing and exploration within Tsavo East National Park. Highlights include natural features and geological sites such as Lugard Falls on the Galana River and the Yatta Plateau, known as the worlds longest lava flow. Expect to encounter large elephant herds and opportunities for predator tracking. The day concludes with evening relaxation at the lodge and an optional sunset game drive.

After breakfast transfer from Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park, approximately a 3 to 4 hours drive.
