The 5 days Rwanda primates tracking safari heads to Nyungwe Montane forest, a home to 13 primates species such as Chimpanzees, Black and White colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, L'Hoest's, Golden Monkeys, Mangabeys and Giant Forest Hogs among others.

Proceed to Volcanoes National Park, a home to Mountain Gorillas. The major activities here include primates and gorilla tracking as well as canopy walking adventure in Nyungwe Forest.Anything not mentioned in the program.04-0231-12

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Having had your lunch in Kigali, you will transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes national park by our guide, the journey that will treat you with scenic view of beautifully terraced hills and landscape. Check in and overnight at Muhabura hotel.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking Safari Tour - Rwanda

Rwanda in the morning, you will get briefing from the park headquaters by the ranger guides before proceeding to start the gorilla trekking. Trekking will lead you through mountain forest on the slopes of Virunga, and this may take 1-8 hours. The maximum time to spend with the gorillas is one hour. Community walk will spice up your day in the afternoon before retiring at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Muhabura hotel.

Day 3

Transit to Nyungwe National Park - Home of 13 primates species

Having finished taking breakfast, you will move to Kigali and then proceed southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Enroute, you will visit the king's palace, and then a stopover for lunch at Butare before proceeding to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest House.

Day 4

Primates Tracking & Nature Walk Adventure

In the morning, you will move to Nyungwe Forest and begin the chimpanzee trekking. You will also lookout for Colobus Monkeys in the forest as well as other fauna like birds, butterflies. Later retreat to your lodge for Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House.

Day 5

Transfer to Kigali and Departure

In the morning, leave for Kigali, where you will have a tour around the city including the market visits, handicraft shop visits, pottery projects, genocide mus visit and many others before proceeding to the airport for your outbound flight.
