6-Day and 5-Night Tarangire NP Ngorongoro and Serengeti Midrange

Arrive in Arusha where you will be welcomed, receive a briefing on the safari and have time to ask questions before beginning the trip. The day offers an introduction to Arusha with opportunities to visit busy markets, museums and local restaurants. In the evening you will dine and overnight at Mount Meru Hotel which offers pool, gardens, restaurant, gym and spa facilities and views of Mt Meru or the city.

Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, approximately 120 kilometers from Arusha. Spend the day on game drives in Tarangire, a park noted for its iconic baobab trees and large herds of elephants as well as diverse species and abundant birdlife. In the evening transfer to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals for the day are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Travel into the Central Serengeti National Park region, the wildlife rich Seronera Valley offering excellent year round wildlife viewing and potential sightings of the Big Five, abundant predators and scenic landscapes including acacia woodlands and kopjes. The Central Serengeti provides opportunities to witness the Great Migration depending on season. Accommodation is at Mberesero lodge and tented camp. Meals for the day are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Full day in Central Serengeti National Park enjoying morning and afternoon game drives to maximize wildlife encounters. The Central Serengeti is known for excellent predator sightings, dense populations of big cats and potential views of the Great Migration at appropriate times. Continue to stay at Mberesero lodge and tented camp with meals included for the day.

After breakfast enjoy one last morning game drive in the Serengeti making the most of final hours in the park, then slowly make your way to the park gate heading toward Karatu. Watch for wildlife along the route including predators on the move in early morning and other species such as elephants, giraffes and zebras. In the afternoon arrive in Karatu, check in at Acacia Farm Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals for the day are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a day spent exploring this vast volcanic caldera and one of Africas richest wildlife areas. Enjoy extensive game drives on the crater floor with opportunities to see lions, hyenas, elephants, zebras, buffalo, flamingos and the rare black rhino. The descent into the crater and the views from the rim are highlights. It is recommended to book a late afternoon or evening flight out of Tanzania to fully enjoy the crater game drive before traveling to Arusha or the airport. Meals for the day are breakfast and lunch.
