Package Overview

This safari tour is for travellers who want to explore Kenya and Tanzania’s most famous national parks in a very short time. It is a Short Kenya-Tanzania Legendary safari adventure that exposes you to the best game parks in Kenya & Tanzania, filled with abundant wildlife, diverse cultures, and landscapes. You will visit Masai Mara in Kenya, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. Your safari will start in Nairobi and end in Arusha, Tanzania, Nairobi Kenya, or extend it by flying to Zanzibar Island.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve (230KM 4.5Hrs drive)

  You will start the drive from the airport or your accommodation facility in Nairobi for a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have a stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch your legs and photograph the contrasting landscapes including Mt. Longonot. Proceed driving through the Rift Valley floor to the Mara. Arrive in good time for lunch. Embark on your first game drive this afternoon from 16:00 hrs.
  One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara NR. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. And bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful Savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.

• Day 2 : Masai Mara National Reserve

  This is a full day spent game viewing across the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills of the famous Savanna. The Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game animals like leopards, Cheetahs, Lions, and other herbivores. It has virtually every other type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. You will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara Savannah.
  
  Your lunch today is picnic lunch boxes in the savannah under a lone flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals grazing. Continue with the game viewing enroute to your camp, arriving late in the evening after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah measuring 1,500 km2
  You have an option of booking a balloon ride today which takes off early in the morning. After landing, the crew helps you out of the basket and escorts you to a lovely setting for a bush breakfast which is a lifetime experience. Later, join your driver guide at a location and proceed with your full-day game drive.

• Day 3 : Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park (380KM 8Hrs drive / 3Hrs Flight)

  After breakfast, get ready for a long but visually stunning drive to the Isebania border post, separating Kenya and Tanzania. Once you complete the border immigration process, you will switch vehicles and meet your Tanzanian driver/guide. They will welcome you and take you to the vast Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, which means "endless plains." Lunch will be served on route.
  You will arrive at the camp late in the afternoon. Keep an eye out for the millions of animals that call this place their home during the drive. Tonight, you will have an authentic African safari experience. The lodge is situated within the national park, right in the middle of all the animal action. Once you arrive, your driver/guide and the camp manager will provide you with a comprehensive safety briefing.
  PS: The drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti can take up to 8-9 hours, including the border crossing and 2 pit stops. Alternatively, we can arrange a 3-hour flight transfer to Serengeti.

• Day 4 : Serengeti National Park

  Wake up to another glorious day in the Serengeti. Start the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're at their most active. Then return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch.
  Spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in the camp, reading your favorite book, writing your journal about the safari, or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Don't stress, the animals will be doing the same. Head off again in the afternoon for another drive through the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and another night under the Serengeti's stars.
  Note: There's also an option of an early hot air balloon ride here. Please ask the tour manager before booking this trip if you're interested.

• Day 5 : Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater (230KM 4.5Hrs drive)

  Today, we will start our day early with an exhilarating early morning safari before breakfast. This will allow us to observe the animals when they are most active and witness the breathtaking sunrise in the African Savannah. Following the game drive, we will return to the camp for a hearty breakfast.
  As we exit the park, we will embark on a final game drive through the Serengeti. Our journey will then take us through the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, renowned as the 8th natural wonder of the world. The crater, with its towering 2,000 ft walls and a sprawling floor of 102 sq. miles, is a sanctuary for a diverse range of wildlife, including the rare black rhino. It is home to the highest concentration of wildlife on the planet, including majestic bull elephants with exceptionally large tusks, owing to the nutrient-rich volcanic soil and grasses.

• Day 6 : Ngorongoro to Arusha (152KM 3Hrs drive)

  This morning, you'll descend into the crater carrying your packed lunch boxes, arriving ahead of most visitors when the animals are active— thanks to the ideal location of your accommodations on the crater’s rim —you'll descend into the crater floor for the half-day crater tour. The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles and as a result, it's easier to watch them from up close. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of size live there, Including about 20 black rhinoceros. The crater is the best place in Tanzania to see the rhino. You will thereafter ascend and drive to Arusha Marking this as the end of your safari.
  You have the flexibility in your travel plans. You can either head to Kilimanjaro Airport or Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your outbound flight home. Alternatively, you can fly from Arusha to Zanzibar Island if you wish to extend your stay with a beach holiday.
