6 Days Tanzania Safari + Cultural Tour ItineraryDay 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Attend a briefing about the safari and cultural tour itinerary. Rest and prepare for the upcoming adventure in northern Tanzania’s parks and villages.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. In the evening, arrive at a nearby campsite or lodge for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro
Visit Lake Manyara National Park in the morning, famous for tree-climbing lions and abundant flamingos. Continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a scenic drive to your lodge or campsite near the crater rim. Sunset views over the Ngorongoro Crater provide a spectacular end to the day. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration – Serengeti
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early for a full-day game drive. Observe the Big Five, hippos, and various antelope species in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending in the afternoon. Continue to Serengeti National Park for an evening game drive en route to your campsite. Dinner and overnight under the stars in the Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti – Cultural Visits
Spend the morning on a short game drive in the Serengeti to catch any wildlife you may have missed. After breakfast, depart for cultural experiences with local communities. Visit a Maasai village to learn about traditional Maasai life, cattle herding, and rituals. Later, interact with the Hadza or Iraqw tribes, learning about their hunting techniques, food gathering, and unique cultural heritage. Return to your campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha Departure
After breakfast, embark on the scenic drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, visit local markets or cultural centers to purchase traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or your hotel in Arusha for departure, concluding your 6 Days Tanzania Safari + Cultural Tour.
