7-Day Uganda Wildlife Safari & Gorilla Trekking

On arrival you will be welcomed by the company driver guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival you can opt for a short city tour or enjoy a night out in Kampala. You will rest and have dinner at Cassia Lodge with overnight stay in Kampala.

After breakfast the guide will brief you fully about the safari and then you will start the drive to Kibale National Park with numerous stop overs for photos and short experiences along the route. You will have lunch en route and arrive at the park in time for dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp.

After breakfast head for the Bigodi community walk in the Bigodi Wetland which is home to diverse biodiversity including several primate species and many bird species. After exploring Bigodi Wetlands or Kibale Forest you will have lunch at the park restaurant and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival relax then have dinner and overnight stay at Baboon Safari Resort.

Start with morning breakfast then embark on a morning game drive in the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Kasenyi Track searching for lions elephants solitary buffaloes and Uganda kobs with excellent close range viewing opportunities. Return to the lodge for lunch then embark on an afternoon launch trip along the Kazinga Channel to view hippos buffaloes and a variety of birds including pink backed pelicans pied and malachite kingfishers and saddle billed stork. Later proceed by road towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check in at Bahoma Community Haven Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Start with an early breakfast then proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing including guidelines and collection of your packed lunch. Rangers will guide you into the dense rainforest to search for gorilla families. Be prepared for unpredictable weather bring raincoats and boots. Porters are available for a small fee to carry luggage. Gorilla tracking can last from 2 to 7 hours depending on gorilla location and physical fitness is recommended. After the trek travel to Lake Mburo National Park and check in at Mburo Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast embark on a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park offering chances to view zebras elands buffaloes leopards topi warthogs hyenas jackals and various bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon take a two hour boat cruise on Lake Mburo to view water mammals such as hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mburo Safari Lodges.

Have breakfast then transfer to Entebbe with an en route stop at the Kayabwe equator for refreshments photography and to experience the northern and southern hemisphere demonstration. Have lunch en route and arrive in the evening. The guide will drop you at Entebbe Airport or at your hotel depending on your departure time.
