Embark on a 3-day safari to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda most secluded park in the remote northeast near Kenya and South Sudan. Nestled in the sparsely populated Karamoja region, this hidden gem boasts stunning landscapes with expansive grasslands and rugged mountains. Culturally rich, the plains are dotted with manyattas of traditional Karamoja pastoralists. Explore the parks broad Narus and Kidepo valleys where abundant big game roams, offering an unforgettable wilderness adventure.
Arrival day with pickup from your hotel or Entebbe airport and road transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park in northern Uganda via the Gulu-Kitgum road. The drive includes several stop overs for photography, lunch, refreshments and short breaks. Expect to see Abera Forest, River Aswa and scenic landscape views en route. On arrival check in at Kidepo Savannah Lodge followed by dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full day of wildlife viewing and cultural experiences. After breakfast embark on an early morning game drive along the Narus valley to view large mammals and birdlife against dramatic landscapes. Return to the lodge for lunch and later undertake a community tour to a Karamojong manyatta to experience cultural performances, traditional lifestyle and storytelling. Conclude with dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.
Final day after breakfast with road transfer back toward Kampala and Entebbe. The journey includes on-route lunch in Gulu and several stop overs depending on timing. Trip concludes with drop off in Kampala or Entebbe for onward travel or flight connections.
