Located 90 km east of Kampala, Jinja is famed as the Source of the Niles gateway, home to the worlds longest river at 6,500 km. The area features stunning waterfalls like Owen Falls, Busowoko Falls, and Itanda Falls. Jinja shines as Ugandas adventure capital, offering thrilling activities such as white water rafting, water tubing, and bungee jumping from the riverbanks. The itinerary includes transfers from Entebbe to Jinja, guided visits to waterfalls and markets, a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile, adventure activities on the river, a Mabira Forest experience with wildlife viewing, meals as specified, and overnight stays at Hotel Paradise.
Upon arrival the guide will welcome you and escort you from Entebbe to Jinja in eastern Uganda with scenic drives and stops en route. Highlights include a visit to the stunning Sezibwa Falls and a stop at Namawojolo Market to enjoy plantains and fresh local bites. The day continues with a boat cruise at the Source of the Nile followed by lunch in Jinja city. In the afternoon the group will explore the impressive Busowoko Falls where participants can experience an exhilarating tubing adventure. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at Hotel Paradise in Jinja.
A full day of high adrenaline activities in Jinja after breakfast. The day features bungee jumping from the Nile banks, white water rafting on the Nile rapids and river cruising sections for scenic viewing. There is an optional quad biking activity available for an additional fee. The itinerary includes lunch and time to explore and unwind in Jinja city and the charming old town. The day ends with dinner and another overnight stay at Hotel Paradise.
On the final day after breakfast check out and head to Mabira Forest, one of the last remaining tropical rainforests in eastern Uganda spanning 330 km2. In Mabira you will have opportunities to spot a variety of bird species, primates such as monkeys, and diverse tree species. Following the forest exploration the group will travel back towards Kampala with a scenic lunch stop along the way and continue to Entebbe to arrive in time for onward flights, completing the tour.
