Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi → Samburu (overnight Samburu lodge)

Depart Nairobi early and drive/fly to Samburu (road transfers are long; domestic flights to Samburu airstrips can be arranged). Arrive for lunch and settle into your lodge.

Afternoon game drive in Samburu Reserve or nearby conservancy, looking for northern-special species and photographing landscapes unique to northern Kenya.

Dinner and overnight at Samburu lodge.

Day 2

Full day Samburu

Morning and afternoon game drives with a mid-day rest at the lodge. Guided visits to riverine habitats attract elephants and crocodiles; birdwatching is excellent. Optional cultural visit to a Samburu community (timing arranged with the village).

Overnight at Samburu lodge.

Day 3

Samburu → Lake Nakuru (via central Rift Valley)

After breakfast depart Samburu and travel south to the Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in the afternoon for a first game drive and birding session around the lake. Dinner and overnight at a lodge near Nakuru.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara (transfer)

Optional early morning viewpoint (Baboon Cliff) or additional Nakuru birding. Depart mid-morning and drive to the Maasai Mara (transfer time varies; route is scenic). Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Overnight at a Mara lodge.

Day 5

Full day Maasai Mara

Full day of game drives in the Mara with a packed picnic or lodge brunch. If visiting during migration season (July–October), drivers will position at river crossings where possible. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon flight (pre-book). Overnight at Mara lodge.

Day 6

Morning Mara drive → Lake Naivasha (boat cruise)

Early morning drive for final Mara sightings and photography. After breakfast, depart the Mara and head to Lake Naivasha. Arrive for an afternoon boat cruise to view hippos and waterbirds; optional Crescent Island activity for a walking safari among friendly antelope. Overnight at Naivasha lodge.

Day 7

Lake Naivasha → Nairobi (transfer / depart)

Morning at leisure with optional short activities (nature walk, photography). After breakfast check-out and transfer to Nairobi with arrival mid-late afternoon; drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or airport.
